Permanent mold is a process that utilizes reusable molds ("permanent molds") which are mostly made from metal. The most common process uses gravity to fill the mold however low pressure or a vacuum is also used. Permanent mold also supports high production rates. Wall thickness is limited from 3mm to 50mm. Typical part sizes range from ounces to 150 pounds.
